Barriers to entrepreneurial intention among students of economics and management in Ho Chi Minh City

This study aims to investigate the effects of barriers on entrepreneurial intention among Economics and Management students in Ho Chi Minh City then analyze evaluate impact these barriers. The authors used 3 main models: Entrepreneurial Event Model – EEM, Implementing Ideas, Theory Planned Behavior TPB. data were collected from 312 at universities City. Next, employed quantitative methods such as descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory (CFA), HTMT test, structural equation modeling (SEM), Bootstrapping, Kruskal - Wallis test using SPSS 20 AMOS 24 softwares. results showed that 4 independent variables had an effect intention, including Mental Barriers, Market Educational Environment Knowledge Barriers. Particularly, Barriers seen most influential intention. It was implied spirit, knowledge, business environment really a concern for start-up stage, educational background knowledge encouragement teachers also affected students. Additionally, there 5 groups with statistically significant differences students’ Intentions: (1) Gender, (2) School year, (3) University, (4) Major, (5) Parents' careers. has filled research gap by providing important insights into In practical terms, it helps recognize obstacles how overcome them when making decisions while establishing business. provides educators policymakers solutions governance implications driving students' intentions.
